The Important of ITC

A.      INTRODUCTION

According to Iskandar Alisyabana (1980) technology has been known since milions of years ago because the urge to live more comportable and  prosperous. Information communication technology is the means and infrastructure of system hardware and methods to transmit, process, interpret, retrieve and use data meaningfully to obtain information in quality. (world Bank, 2002) The use of computers and technology today has became fundamental to the operation of organazations and society. Today, information is carried at phonomenal speed within and accross various communication networks . The networks also offer to corporation the opportunity to engage in organizational learning and knowledge management due to the ability to store, retrieve,calculate and reformulate information. (Mcloughlin, 1999)

The benefits of ICT:

 ICT as a medium (tools) education is only as a complement to clarify the description of the description presented, both as a source of information and the last ICT as a learning system.

B.     POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE OF ICT

v  Make it easier to access the latest information

v  As Entertainment Media

v  Facilitate communication

v  Sharing and sharing files

v  Individuals become lazy to socialize physically

v  Increased fraud and crime

v   Also defamation widely

v   Keep close ones (lack of face-to-face interaction)

v   Wasting time on useless things (internet addiction)

v   Ignoring tasks and jobs

v   Decrease of learning achievement and ability of one's work

C.    EXAMPLE APLICATION

Email is a means to send messages or letters, files, photos, videos and other data. email is needed in supporting our activities in interacting in cyberspace. for example we will register a new facebook, automatically we need the name of this email is the main requirement to register facebook.

Function: email serves as a means to send / receive mail, and data that can be written in the letter. Data that can be sent via email include, typewriting data, music, video, images, programs / software / viruses, and other digital data. In our house / our address. every letter that comes will come to our address, if no mailbox means send it directly to the house / owner / occupant of the house. Sending mail by email is very fast the same as sending an SMS, in seconds the letter we just sent can be directly to the destination.

Benefits of email include:

1.      E-mail can connect us with anyone who is connected on the internet around the world.

2.      With e-mail, data is sent electronically so that it gets to destination very quickly.

3.      Can send to more than one person at the same time.

4.      Can facilitate communication with people around the world.

5.      Can be used for document delivery.

6.      More effective and efficient.

7.      Can be used as a tool of access to the world of work.

Ø  Steps make email

1.      The first step how to create a Yahoo email, visit the Yahoo Mail site.

2.      You will see the Yahoo login page. On the page Click the "Sign up" link at the bottom of the page.

3.       Next you will be directed to the Yahoo mail account registration form page.

Fill in the fields provided by entering your data:  First name & Last name column: Fill in your first and last name  email address field: Fill in the username which is also at once your email address  password: Enter your password (choose a password that is easy to remember and powerful enough)     Mobile phone number: enter your active mobile number  Birt Month,

Day & Year: Enter the date, month, and year of your birth Gender: Choose your gender.

After completing the form fields, click Continue to proceed to the next step3.  You will then be directed to the Yahoo mail account registration form page. Fill in the fields provided by entering your data:

4.       Next, you will be directed to the verification page.

5.      Then you will receive an SMS containing the verification code to the mobile number you registered. Usually the process of sending SMS verification code is very fast, about 5 - 30 seconds. However, if you still have not received a verification code, then you can request again with Re-send click on the Yahoo page.

Enter the verification code into the field provided, then click Verify.

6.        Next you will see the Congratulations page on your monitor screen. This means that you have successfully registered your new Yahoo mail account. Next click on Let's get started.

To Use Email

1.Send email using yahoo email

Go to yahoo email main page ,login email address and password then to write an email, can click the write button located next to the top left corner.

Then it will open facility to write email

Fill in the data

To:Fill in the destination

Address title: email title message

Contents: contents email (document)

2. To read messege email

Please select the line of email you want to read, click to open the contents of the message.

3. Reply to yahoo email

Please open the received email message then scroll down, then press the reply word..
